Our client is seeking a Product Owner, Back / Middle Office Technology who will use agile practices to deliver key investments related technology in direct alignment with business objectives.

About this job:
* Works with the Product Management and Sr. Product Owner to articulate and translate the product vision into feature(s) for Back and Middle Office Platforms including accounting, forecasting, and compliance. Communicate the product strategy effectively to key stakeholders, team members, and vendors.
* Defines minimum viable product (MVP) for products/features in scope. Owns scrum team backlog (grooming, prioritization and refinement). Helps key stakeholders to better understand the product vision.
* Works day-to-day with Sr. Product Owner and the scrum teams clarifying business requirements, removing roadblocks, constantly communicating and gaining alignment around feature or product strategy.
* Ensures delivery of scope, partners with delivery teams to ensure user stories are clear, and aligns resources to remove barriers for team members and resolves open issues/questions quickly and efficiently. Acts as the voice of the customer.
* Sets the quality standard for delivery. Develops test plans (user story acceptance criteria), accepts each story and potentially features and participates in team demos and retrospectives to validate quality, provide feedback to team and improve team processes. Partners across functions as needed to coordinate delivery plans, testing, training and support.


Desired skills:
* Minimum of 2 years` experience in finance, engineering, technology and/or consulting.
* Skill at translating business need into technology features / stories; Skill in analyzing data to determine opportunities for technology to provide business value
* Experience with diverse datasets used in finance/accounting, asset valuation and trading diverse set of asset classes.
* Experience with Agile development methodologies, ceremonies, and capacity planning.
* Able to depict complex ideas, issues and designs to varied audiences; educate SBU/department(s) on business vision and plan and the impact of change.
* Strong problem solver with ability to lead the team to push the solution and progress.
* Financial Vendor platform implementation experience desired - Accounting, Financial Planning, Compliance. Investment Accounting highly desired (SimCorp Dimension) but not required.
* Bachelor's degree in relevant field (finance, computer science, etc.).
